Koa Acoustic Guitar Back and Side Set

This Acoustic Guitar back and side set is resawn and bookmatched from the best Grade of Hawaiian Koa available. Koa is a very sought after wood for instrument making and supply has become tight. It has a broad color usually honey or caramel colored. It has a distinguishably different tone from other tone woods more like Mahogany than Rosewood. Our stock has mid to mild figure and beautiful sapwood on some pieces (available upon request). It has been carefully selected for vertical grain and little run out, making it ideal for Guitar making. It is surfaced clean to 0.14” so you can do final sanding to your own thickness for the sides. The back is two bookmatched pieces at least 8.5” wide and 22” long The sides are two bookmatched pieces at least 5” wide and 32” long
